Philadelphia Named In World’s 10 Best Cities For Parks 2012

Frommer’s, the travel expert, has just named Philadelphia in with their list of the top ten cities for parks in the world! Among those listed are the admiral Munich Germany, Melbourne, Australia, New York City and oth ers. Frommer’s highlights Philadelphia’s vast Fairmount Park, which is a collaboration of 63 individual parks, “stretching predominantly along the Schuylkill River over 9,200 acres”. The impressive park is home to “more than 200 historic buildings, America's oldest zoo, six golf courses, cycling trails, performance venues, and an array of landscaped gardens and wooded areas”.

45th Floor Fitness Class Schedule

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your physical and mental health in colder weather. The Fitness Center and Pool Area are conveniently located on the newly renovated 45th floor where you can enjoy a magnificent city view while you get a refreshing workout.   

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:30 a.m., Nawrocki Fitness will keep you moving with an Aqua Aerobics class. If strengthening and toning is what your muscles crave, join us on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. for Pilates with a live percussionist. 

Keep watching here for new classes coming in 2011 and the return of Body Burn (light weights, repetition), Kokuwa Dance Workout, and Yoga.

1500 Locust is Having a Photo Contest!

Show us your 1500 Locust Perspective! We are asking for pictures that show your much-loved balcony view, a great shot of the building from the outside, or something in our neighborhood. 

Once submitted, we will display them on the wall mural in the lobby as you exit the elevators. Voting will be set up online or via paper ballot submitted to the leasing office.

Please send your photos to residentservice@gmail.com in the following format: hIgh resolution photos of at least 300 dpi, pixel dimensions around 3,000 to 4,000.
