We'd like to introduce you to another member of the Concraft Inc. family!

Name:
Joe Gimpert

Position:
Water Mitigation & Mold Remediation Manager

How long have you been with Concraft?
10 Years

What’s a typical day like for you?
A typical day might contain a lot of things. To name a few: morning crew meetings to review yesterday's work and today's scheduled jobs; troubleshooting with staff to see if they need help or additional direction; meeting with clients; inspecting losses, writing estimates, or reviewing estimates with insurance adjusters. I'm the person who takes emergency mitigation calls and mobilizes mitigation teams. I'll also make random quality control calls.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Many things. I get to help people, whether it's getting our clients through catastrophes or helping colleagues learn and improve. I enjoy that every day is different, with its own unique challenges. And I like the team atmosphere at Concraft. Everyone is willing to help each other out.

What do you do in your spare time?
I spend time with my family. We enjoy outdoor activities, especially boating and fishing.

This week we're taking a break from our Project Spotlights to introduce you another member of the Concraft Inc. family.

Name:

Tim Carbary

Position:

Estimator & Project Manager

How long have you been with Concraft?

18 years

What’s a typical day like for you?

I'm in the office a little before 7am. As I check the previous night's messages, our crews start to arrive. We meet with them go over their day's work and get them out to their job sites. Then the day begins; tracking work progress on the computer, making notes, scheduling jobs, writing estimates, phone calls to contractors, customers, agents, adjusters, and management companies, and visiting job sites. If an emergency comes up, that takes prioriity, and we go to help them.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Helping people who have been through a very sad and stressful situation. We help them put their lives back together again.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family and doing things with them. Every month we spend time doing volunteer work trying to help others. For relaxation, I love to fish and read. I also enjoy sports, but these days, the older I get, I watch them more than I play them.

We'd like to introduce you to another member of the Concraft Inc. family!

Name:
Brian Miller

Position:
Estimator/Project Manager

How long have you been with Concraft?
Two years.

What’s a typical day like for you?
Busy! It’s interesting to meet different people on a daily basis and to evaluate their losses. It’s a good feeling to know that you can help someone in need when there is a problem. We are there to help, and we do so in the best interest of the insured.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Every day is a challenge with different losses and products. I learn something every day whether it’s dealing with a customer, adjuster, or a supplier teaching me a trade secret.

What do you do in your spare time?
Spend time with my family. I enjoy bowling, hunting, going to Tigers games, or playing soccer in the backyard.

Kicking off our series that spotlights the Concraft Inc. family, we'd like to begin by introducing you to Tony and Mary Ann Crimando, who started the company 25 years ago and continue to lead it today.

Names:
Tony & Mary Ann Crimando

Positions:
President & Vice President/Owners, Concraft Inc.

Congratulations on Concraft’s 25th anniversary this year. How did you get started?

Tony: I was originally a carpenter, and back during the recession of ’79 things were slow. My boss went to work for a restoration company doing fire repair. I joined him, and eventually I wanted to work for myself. Concraft started small. We restored things like doors and grew from there.

Mary Ann: I worked for a general contractor doing general office work and accounting, similar to what I do now.  When Concraft started we did every small job, like vehicle damages, mailboxes . . . we slowly grew.

What’s a typical day like for you?

Tony: A typical day doesn’t end until we go to bed. We have two families: five kids and one new son-in-law, and another family here at work. I get to the office between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m. and typically oversee production operations for the most part. Mary Ann handles the financial side of it.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Tony: Having the satisfaction of seeing devastated properties put back to their previous conditions, if not better. We see our clients get back into their homes, businesses and routines.

What do you do in your spare time?

Tony: We don’t have much of it, but right now a lot of sports.  Of our five kids, three of them are boys—so after work we travel around playing soccer and football.
