The largest and most prosperous professional theater company in Arizona, Phoenix’s Arizona Theatre Company has been bringing top-flight performances to appreciative audiences since 1967. Originally founded in Tucson, the theater started also staging shows in Phoenix in 1978 and now performs two full seasons in each city. The theater works to make sure that ticket prices are always affordable by community members at all income levels, so a significant amount of their funding comes from outside sources. ATC has produced over 200 plays since their founding, each and every one with exceptional performances and stunning scenery and costumes. The Hershberger Theatre is the venue that ATC stages its Phoenix productions at, and attendees rave about the excellent seating and great acoustics. The company stages a variety of material, from classics to newly-commissioned plays, and everything’s a winner. They also present all-ages material at least once a year. You owe it to yourself to take in a show here.
