The Springtime Home & Garden Expo with a County Craft Festival is coming to the Buena Vista Camping Resort, 775 Harding Highway, Buena New Jersey, on May 14th &15th, 2011, from 10am to 6pm. This two- day event is Grandstand Entertainment: Live easy listening music. Live radio broadcast.

For over half a century, Springdale Farms has been one of the best destinations in South Jersey for farm-fresh produce, and this family-owned business intends to carry on into the forseeable future. One of the most important producers in the “Farm To Fork” program that provides local ingredients to area restaurants, Springdale also boasts an impressive retail farmstand that is open to the general public. Even if you’re not shopping for fruit, vegetables, and delicious baked goods, there’s still plenty to do on the farm. In October, the farm’s pumpkin patches are crowded with children selecting the perfect jack-o-lantern for their Halloween decorations. A massive corn maze befuddles visitors in the autumn as well. And, of course, you can just walk around saying hello to the animals and observing how a family farm operates. The farm is also rentable for parties and special occasions, and they host a number of educational programs for future farmers.

Atlantic County Bikeway: A Scenic Recreation Trail

The 7.5 mile Atlantic County Bikeway is a scenic bike and pedestrian trail, available for walking, biking, running, and rollerblading from dawn until dusk. The 10-foot wide asphalt path is located between the Shore Mall in Egg Harbor Township and the Atlantic County Vocational Technical School in Mays Landing, running along the former West Jersey/Reading Seashore railway line. Trail heads are located at the Shore Mall, English Creek Avenue, and the Vocational Technical School with limited parking. Signage along the trail provides information on Pinelands plants and animals, as well as history of the railway. Future plans call for the trail to be extended to the Cumberland County line.

Mighty Mike – Adventure Aquarium

A 14-foot, 800-pound American alligator named Mighty Mike will be on exhibit at Adventure Aquarium until the end of February. Mighty Mike is the largest alligator on display outside of Florida.
