Kayas: New Cuisine Creations
Kayas is eco-conscious cuisine, with an edge. There is nothing stereotypically hippie or ‘crunchy’ about this chic little Havertown BYOB, with its sleek and sophisticated interior and meat-heavy menu. Kaya's cuisine consists of fusion American, meaning new American dishes with global influences. Kayas is family-owned, though, to give a soft, welcoming edge to its daring concept. To encourage seasonality, Kayas menu is decided around dinnertime and written across a temporary chalkboard. This means there is no set menu to preview, but the restaurant still offers transparency in terms of the dishes’ ingredients and food’s origins. The dishes consist of fresh vegetables and fruits picked up at the local farmers' market, grass-fed steaks from Lime Valley Mill Farm, and coffee from fair trade One Village Coffee. Kayas is also available for private parties and offers cooking classes and special holiday menus.
