Cinestudio: Classic Cinema

Located downtown on the campus of Trinity College, Cinestudio was founded as a cooperative theater by students, and still runs that way today. An independent theater, Cinestudio shows classic movies, art films and new releases in an environment that shows you what movie-going used to be all about. Go back in time when you enter the beautiful lobby, lush with wood paneling. Find a seat in the theater, and suddenly, it’s the 1930’s. Even better, try the balcony! Where else but at Cinestudio can you go and see a large-screen presentation of classic movies like Casablanca or Notorious? Popular and art house movies also get scheduled. And don’t miss the special presentations like “Democracy in Film,” and festivals such as “April in Paris." Cinestudio has showings seven days a week.
