Broad Street Run, May 6: Run Through Philadelphia

Philadelphia's Broad Street Run is a 10 mile long race across the city that's not to be missed. In a course ranging across Philadelphia — from the Central High School Athletic Field all the way to the Navy Yard — the Broad Street Run takes participants across the length of Broad Street. On the course, runners will find encouragement in the form of cheering supporters, along with water stations, digital time keepers, and even live entertainment. During the run, the street will be closed to facilitate runner safety. The entire event benefits the American Cancer Society.

Beginning April 28th and continuing for one weekend each month through September, Plaza Schmidt's in Northern Liberties will become an open-air marketplace, the Bazaar at Plaza Schmidt's. Playing host to many vendors, this beautiful — and enormous! — open-air plaza will also feature live music and other performing arts. Easily accessible for residents of York North Apartments, the Piazza at Schmidt's is a fixture of Northern Liberties.
